This qualification has been developed for the South African context of Public Management while drawing on themes from International Qualifications.
The main purpose of the programme is to:
• create a new calibre of local government cadres who promote developmental local government,
• promote equity by providing affordable access to public management education to learners previously denied such opportunities.
Admission Requirements
- The minimum entry requirement is the National Senior Certificate starting a Diploma or Degree or the National Certificate (Vocational) with appropriate subject combinations and level of achievement; or
- Mature Age Exemption for students above the age of 23 years as set out in the Higher Education Regulations; or
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
